Every dollar deposited at Haverhill Bank is insured 100%. Across the country — and, in fact, even in Massachusetts — not all banks can make this promise.

This protection is provided by a unique combination of coverage provided by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Share Insurance Fund (SIF) of The Co-operative Central Bank.

The FDIC is an independent agency of the United States government and has temporarily increased its deposit insurance from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2009. Coverage includes funds in deposit accounts, such as checking and savings accounts, money market deposit accounts and certificates of deposit (CDs).

At Haverhill Bank, any deposits above limits of the FDIC are covered in full by the SIF. This coverage is exclusive to co-operative banks in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Haverhill Bank has been a member of the SIF since it was established in 1934.

Both FDIC and SIF insurance are automatic. There is no need to request coverage.

Isn’t it comforting to know your money is in good hands? That’s why Haverhill Bank will always be a bank you can trustSM.
